Maybe I shared this with you a while back. Here’s a little video I directed for Fred’s House last summer.  We spent the day at the village hall with friends and family shooting ‘Someone Else’s Road’.  Great fun, enjoy!

I haven’t quite succeeded on the old daily blog, but here we are, day 11 and probably the best day scouting locations so far. Met a lovely German lady, Jutta, who showed me round her farmhouse then took me traipsing through the woods to find an old mill she’d spotted while out on a walk one day.

I followed that up with a tour of a local caravan park. Just had a day of meeting lovely helpful people, and that’s what helps you through the tougher times. Nice to end the week on a high note, reminds you why you work in this tough old industry.

Oh, and I locked the office location - which, if I’d kept up with my daily blogs like I’d planned, you’d know what a massive win this is.

So 11,000 and some odd miles later I have arrived back in the UK and started on a new film helping with locations and various other bits and pieces. Thought I might attempt a daily blog about working on a low budget UK indie. So here goes…

Not much to report yet, met the production team, caught up with the director, getting a feel for the aesthetics of the film and meeting lovely new people.

More importantly, found the local swimming pool. I need a good swim to really settle into a place. 1 day down, 55 to go.
